GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR ALL SERVICES


 

# All services provided by Mountain duck follow these general conditions as well as conditions specific to each tour package.

 

# All services must be paid according to the agreement arranged via e-mail.

 

# In order to make a reservation for an expedition, hike and/or horseback ride, complete the reservation form that Mountain duck will send you via e-mail. A 30% deposit of the total cost is also required in order to make a reservation. You will receive details about how to make the deposit with the reservation form.

 

# All of our services take place in the mountains and therefore depend on weather conditions and inclemency caused by nature (mountains, avalanches, rivers, etc.).

 

# Most of our trip itineraries include extra days in the case of bad weather or any other event that might delay the original itinerary. This flexibility allows us to increase the chances of reaching the proposed objectives. If these extra days are not necessary and we finish the expedition earlier, Mountain duck will not cover any additional cost incurred on your behalf that is not mentioned in the included services of the expedition, hike or horseback ride.
 

# Mountain duck is not responsible for any cost incurred if the expedition, hike and/or horseback ride is delayed because of weather conditions, strikes, theft or robbery, acts of nature, civil disturbances, terrorism, acts of war, government restrictions or regulations, transportation failures departing or returning in accordance with the planned itinerary, or any other discrepancy that is out of Mountain duck’s control.


 

 

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS FOR EXPEDITIONS, HIKES AND HORSEBACK RIDES



# Only services that are explicitly mentioned are included in our expeditions, hikes and horseback rides. Every one will receive a copy of the included services upon arriving to the destination as well as by e-mail or, if necessary, by fax.​

 

# The planned itineraries for each expedition, hike and/or horseback ride serve as guidance. Every effort will be made to adhere to the proposed itinerary, but it may be necessary to alter it depending on climatic conditions. Upon making a reservation with Mountain duck, you are accepting the possibility of an itinerary change for reasons that are not under our control.

 

# Mountain duck reserves the right not to admit individuals on hikes, horseback ride and/or expeditions if they are not physically or mentally prepared.
 

# During the expedition, hike and/or horseback ride, the guide reserves the right to return to base camp and/or abandon the expedition if a passenger is not in the condition to continue the expedition, hike and/or horseback ride for any reason according to the guide’s judgment.

 

# There will be no refund of any kind if an individual abandons the expedition before its ends for any reason.

 

# Passengers are responsible for any cost incurred in the case of his or her separation from the group or guide for any reason.

 

# If the destination of the expedition, hike and/or horseback ride cannot be reached because of the weather, weather forecast, passenger’s health, or any other reason, there will be no refund of any kind. There will be no cost refund.

 

# If any one participating in the expedition, hike and/or horseback ride needs to be rescued or to abandon the expedition, hike, and/or horseback ride before it ends for any reason, he or she will be responsible for all expenses incurred. 

 

# There will be no refund if the passenger cancels his or her reservation at any point before the expedition, hike and/or horseback ride begins. The cost of the expedition will be refunded in its totality if the participant cancels his or her participation 60 days before the beginning of the expedition. If the participant cancels less than 60 days before the expedition begins there will be no tax refund of any kind.

 

# Mountain duck is not responsible for the terms and conditions of any transportation service (airplanes, buses, etc.).

 

# Mountain duck is not responsible for the loss, theft or damage of any equipment, luggage or any cost incurred in the case of lost or damaged equipment or luggage. If Mountain duck decides to cancel an expedition, hike and/or horseback ride for any reason other than those mentioned above, all payments will be 100% refunded. 

 

# By paying the deposit, you are stating that have read and accepted these terms and conditions.
